Blender is a kitchen appliance that is used to emulsify and mix the food. There is a variety of blenders with different body parts. Blender works with the help of blades located at the bottom of the jar. These blades are used to mix, chop or crush and blend different food items and beverages.

History

Blender was invented by the Stephen Poplawski in 1922. He placed the blades at the bottom of a container and used that container for making a drink. Later on his idea was refined by Fred Osius in 1935 and the product that was formed by Osius is ‘Waring Blender’ that was publically launched in 1937 at a national restaurant show in Chicago. With time the Waring Blender became very famous and a very important tool in hospitals and research for mixing different things.

Blender’s parts have simple functionalities. It has a jug (jar), cutting assembly, rubber clutch and motor.
