Sony Ericsson was made in 2001 by the combination of Sony a known electronic company and Ericsson a well-established mobile phone making company. Sony had expertise in making best multimedia equipment and Ericsson had proved itself in the world of mobiles. So both the companies joined together to make some wonder for the mobile users. Sony Ericsson Pakistan has introduced many fascinating mobile phones in our market.

After the merger Sony Ericsson produced some of the bestselling mobiles. They introduced first ever color screen phone and later they introduced walkman series which became most favorite phone of the mobile users. Likewise Sony and Ericsson combined together have done many firsts in mobiles world. Walkman series was the most popular phones of the company and we saw Sony Ericsson launched many walkman phones.

This partnership soon started bearing losses in billions of dollars for years and both the companies decided to reconsider their decision. It was in the month of Oct 2011 that Sony announced that they would be purchasing the share of Ericsson soon and in Feb 212 sony reappeared as sole owner of the company and stop using Sony Ericsson name anymore. Now all the launches of this company are named as Sony. This is the reason that we have not seen any new models of the Sony Ericsson for months and months.

At present we see Sony adding more editions to their popular Xperia series. They are producing smart phones which house the best features which are comparable to any good smart phone in the world. The prices they are offered at are quite affordable and the best thing about the Sony smart phones is that they run on android which is an open source. Hundreds of apps are added to the database every day and an android smart phone user will find lots of apps of his interest over internet. Sony plans to cut off all the low end devices and will focus only in smart phones and make them better performing devices.
