Samsung E1230 is a simple mobile phone made to offer basic connectivity and simple performance. The mobile phone has an acceptable 1.8 inches TFT screen with 56K colors and a soft keypad just below it giving it a smooth front face. The center 4-way navigation dial allows the user to navigate through the menus with utmost ease. Features of Samsung E1230 are basic, comes with SMS and voice communication on 2G Network for GSM 900/1800 and the ability to store a thousand contact numbers. No external memory, therefore no music player, no additional games and no Java support. However, it does come integrated with built-in games and FM radio that give an outstanding audio decoding and clear sound. The voice quality on this phone according to our tests was clear and smooth. There were some problems with the voice at some places but that also depends on the carrier as well. It has a flashlight, schedule organizer, calculator and convertor that support quite a number of units. Overall, it is a good mobile phone in a very reasonable price packed in a durable body and smart shape. Good to comply with basic needs.
